As a Trainee Plater, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing metal components through cleaning, degreasing and masking
* Operating electroplating tanks and monitoring essential controls
* Checking plating thickness and inspecting parts against quality standards
* Maintaining electroplating equipment to ensure safe operation
* Recording accurate process information and completing documentation
As a Trainee Plater, your experience will include:
* Previous experience in electroplating, ideally with cadmium or zinc‑nickel (advantageous but not essential)
* A methodical approach with strong attention to detail
* Confidence using tools and equipment in a workshop environment
* Understanding of surface preparation and plating processes (advantageous)
* A willingness to learn new technical skills
