Your new role
As a Habitat Banks Manager, you will play a key role in leading the creation and management of Habitat Banks across the South of England, reporting into the Head of Land.
You will be responsible for identifying, securing, and onboarding new land opportunities, working closely with landowners, agents, and internal teams to deliver Habitat Bank sites. This will include conducting site assessments, due diligence, managing planning and consenting processes, and negotiating agreements with landowners.
You will also collaborate with regional land and ecology teams, support other Managers, and engage with external stakeholders including farmers and Local Authorities. In addition, you will represent the organisation at regional and national events to promote Habitat Bank initiatives.
This role requires regular travel across the region, with ideal locations across the South Midlands / South Central and Southwest, with the role being home and site based.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience working professionally with farmers and landowners
CIEEM, RICS, CAAV, or an equivalent professional membership
Strong understanding of rural land management, including Farm Business Tenancies and environmental considerations
Experience using land/property data sources
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and present effectively
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload independently and prioritise tasks
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
Good numeracy and strong IT skills, including data analysis
