Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 3) Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a Primary School in Derby to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and motivational Level 3 Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their supportive school team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is keen to make a real impact on pupils’ learning and progress. The role involves supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school, working with individuals, small groups and whole classes, with responsibility for covering whole classes during short periods of teacher absence. The Role As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will: Support teachers in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the school curriculum Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning, accelerate progress and meet specific needs Confidently deliver whole-class teaching during short-term teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning Assist with the planning, preparation, delivery and review of learning activities in line with best practice and national guidance Take responsibility for planning and delivering specified packages of work, including lesson planning, assessment and reporting where required Contribute to the development of high-quality learning resources Support the smooth day-to-day running of the classroom and promote a positive learning environment Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Has previous experience working in a primary school setting Is confident leading whole-class learning when required Is enthusiastic, proactive and motivated Has strong communication skills and works well as part of a team Is passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential Why Apply Through Teaching Personnel?
