The Senior Project Manager/Mobilisation Project Manager will act as a trusted advisor and focal point for their specific area of the business. They will support the wider team to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed, confirming, in writing any deviations to the standard process.
Working with the Head of Programmes, ensure that all team members are able to work across any area of business, acting a mentor and guide for their specific area of responsibilities to build resilience into the Programme Team.
* Be responsible for PMO’s working within their area of responsibilities and provide advice and guidance as required.
* Ensure that the correct documentation is issued on time, to the expected standard.
Support the development of reporting, including but not limited to the Monthly Governance Report, Technical Services Support Team (TSST) Monthly report and ad hoc reporting as required by the business.
* Carry out reviews and suggest improvements to existing processes and, where needed, support the development of new processes and supporting documents.
The Senior Project Manager will have the ability to focus on details and technicalities while simultaneously retaining a comprehensive vision of the big picture. They also work well under pressure, have great interpersonal skills and can manage several different projects and responsibilities with ease and composure.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of detailed mobilisation/demobilisation plans for all new Mobilisations and Demobilisations.
* Lead, mentor and provide guidance to PMO’s ensuring they understand their role in the broader Programme Team and Technical Services Support Team (TSST).
* Recruitment, training, development and management of a team of Mobilisation PMO’s.
* Regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders to keep them informed on Programme progress, addressing any concerns proactively and escalating where necessary.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of Programmes.
* Deliver key programme updates, milestones and risk assessments to the Head of Programmes and Technical Services Support Team (TSST) leadership.
* Identify risks, potential delays and obstacles early in the mobilisation or demobilisation process and implement mitigation strategies to ensure success.
* Support the Sales and Bidding process by reviewing Sales documents and ensuring that key requirements are captured during the development of the Mobilisation plan.
* Ensure risks related to scope or requirements are captured on the Risk Register.
* Review bid responses to ensure they reflect the requirements of the Sales and Bidding Documents, suggest improvements and highlight any inaccuracies.
