SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) - 2 days a week at St Martin’s School and Nursery
Overview
The school seeks a passionate SENDCo to champion the needs of all learners and join our caring, child‑centred community. As SENDCo you will play a vital role in shaping inclusive practice, working closely with pupils, families, staff and external professionals to ensure that all children reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and develop the provision for children with SEND across the school and nursery.
* Identify, assess and monitor pupil needs, creating and reviewing high‑quality support plans.
* Work closely with teachers to ensure classroom practice is inclusive and ambitious.
* Coordinate EHCP applications and liaise with external agencies.
* Contribute to staff training and development in areas related to SEND and inclusion.
* Be a visible advocate for every child's right to succeed.
Qualifications
Must hold the National Professional Qualification for SENDCOs and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
