Divisional Manager - LWE Biggleswade
A vacancy has arisen within our Mobile Cranes Division for a Divisional Manager. The role contributes to the success of Liebherr Great Britain Ltd through the strategic leadership and effective management of the Mobile Crane (LWE) Division. The role oversees Sales, After Sales, Used Equipment and Technical support, and delivers success within the Company’s key result areas: Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.
Responsibilities
* Increase the revenue for the division to achieve annual targets for equipment sales, new and used.
* Deliver overall profitability by regular review of financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary measures.
* Ensure all areas of the division produce forecasting and budgets on a quarterly basis as per the business requirements.
* Act in accordance with the LWE Divisional Manager guidelines.
* Develop and manage an effective team, instilling an excellent team spirit and minimising staff attrition.
* Maximise team performance through strong leadership and motivation and clear communication of team objectives.
* Oversee framework for sales negotiation to drive profitability.
* Collaboratively develop ongoing plans to achieve strategic goals on an annual basis with direct reports.
* Develop outstanding relationships with the factory personnel to achieve maximum technical, logistical and commercial factory support.
* Monitor working capital limits as directed by Group.
* Mentor direct reports with regards to personal development and assign appropriate projects to add value to their role and the business.
* Regularly review customer satisfaction information for the LWE Division and establish plans for improvement.
* Drive customer retention to achieve targets.
* Share knowledge and business performance results to create transparency of business progression with direct reports and Board of Directors.
* Attend meetings at factories as required by Group.
* Act as a role model for Liebherr Core Values, applying them internally and externally.
* Take responsibility for self-development and continually identify ways of improving management and leadership style.
* Identify opportunities for exhibition, conference participation and sponsorship deals, and create effective plans to execute these opportunities.
* Take ownership for employee engagement results relevant to the role, developing and implementing improvements with direct reports as required.
* Any other duty as required by management commensurate with the post.
Your Profile
The successful candidate will require the following:
* Degree level or equivalent in a related subject area
* Competent mechanical engineering background
* Able to demonstrate effective leadership skills with a similar size team
* Extensive industry knowledge
* Strong sales background
* Able to demonstrate good customer service in a similar environment
* Able to demonstrate effective budgeting and forecasting
