Hardware Engineer
The Hardware Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and participating in operation engineering projects related to the outsourcing and sustaining of a current range of Infusion products. The role focuses on meeting customer and business expectations for safety, quality, delivery and cost through the execution of projects and activities covering problem definition, solution and engineering change (product designs and/or manufacturing processes). The Hardware Engineer will help to develop and employ best practice in delivering projects from initiation through implementation to verification of effectiveness, including ongoing improvement (CI) activities.
About the role
As Hardware Engineer you will be dedicated to advancing infusion technology through engineering excellence. This role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality products and driving improvements in design and manufacturing processes. You will work on projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement throughout.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Support the manufacture of products and spare parts aligned with safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
* Translate and implement product and process improvements into manufacturing solutions
* Coordinate and lead sustaining engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring regulatory compliance
* Establish and maintain manufacturing lines, including transfers and new line setups
* Manage engineering change documentation in line with quality management requirements
* Deliver projects and activities within agreed timelines
* Contribute to achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
* Collaborate across functions to solve problems and improve processes
About you
* Qualified to HNC, HND, or degree level in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
* Experienced in supporting electro‑mechanical products post‑release, ideally for three or more years
* Skilled in manufacturing processes such as plastic injection moulding, manual assembly, and test systems
* Knowledgeable in validation and verification for engineering changes
* Proficient in 3D CAD modelling systems and familiar with GD&T principles
* Strong problem‑solving ability with a structured approach and high personal accountability.
Salary range for the role: £48,000 to £50,000 pa + benefits
For most roles, we require a minimum of 4 days of in‑office presence per week to maintain our culture of excellence and ensure smooth operations, while also recognizing the importance of flexibility and work‑life balance. Remote or field‑based positions will have different workplace arrangements which will be indicated in the job posting.
