We are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer or Senior
Electronics Engineer with a passion for audio to join our R&D team on a
permanent basis.
Job Location: Maidstone, Kent, UK
Eligibility:
*Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK*
Education:
* Bachelors or Masters graduate degree in an appropriate technical discipline such as Electronics, Electro-Acoustics or Physics or equivalent experience.
Key responsibilities:
* Development of loudspeaker and related electronic systems for product and internal use.
* Research on related topics.
Requirements:
* Understanding of electronics theory and practice from precision analogue to high-speed digital.
* Professional knowledge of and personal interest in audio systems.
* Experienced in lab. work – measurement, testing, problem solving and optimisation.
* Professional level PCB Design, preferably in KiCad.
* Passionate about sound quality and skilled in critical listening.
* Methodical and scientific approach to any technical problem.
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
* Ability to innovate and bring new ideas.
* Flexible working style with the ability to adapt – sometimes delivering to exact design requirements as
* part of the team, sometimes developing ideas largely independently.
* Some experience with Matlab, Python, C, C++ or other suitable technical programming language.
* The ability to support the development of others and contribute to the wider team.
Extra points if you have:
* Experience of firmware development for hardware systems, e.g. for STM32.
* Experience of DSP systems and programming.
* Knowledge of Control Theory.
* Knowledge of or interest in acoustics.
* Experience with 2D or 3D CAD.
* Lifelong passion for hobby electronics.
* Self-motivated & committed to continuous professional development.
