Area Sales Manager - South Wales, Gloucestershire, Hereford and Worcestershire
An all-round management position with responsibility for Domestic, Industrial, Commercial, and emergency lighting range selling directly into electrical wholesalers. The ideal candidate will be a focused, energetic, and passionate sales professional with a strong drive for success. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and developing new business within an assigned geographic area. Building relationships with local electrical contractors to support a push/pull sales model is essential.
Main Duties
1. Territory sales role selling all Ovia Ltd products into distributors within the designated sales area (Push/Pull role).
2. Proactive sales support to local contractors aligned with our distributors, including:
1. Joint sales calls
2. Trade counter mornings
3. Local ECA branch meetings
4. Product training
3. Identify and develop sales opportunities with existing and new accounts within Ovia’s trading philosophy.
4. Manage own schedule and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies (e.g., expenses).
5. Utilize appropriate tools and strategies to maximize results with the right customers.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical distributors and contractors.
7. Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective account management.
Skills and Experience
1. Full, preferably clean, driving licence.
2. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
3. Ability to identify and develop opportunities within existing and new accounts, aligned with Scolmore’s trading philosophy.
4. Dynamic approach and strong work ethic.
