System Support Engineer – NHS (Norwich & Norfolk Area) Rate: £16 per hour (Inside IR35 – via Umbrella) Location: Onsite across Norwich and the wider Norfolk area Full UK driving licence required – travel to different NHS sites may be necessary – (Vehicle Provided) ️ Start: ASAP – until March 2026 ⏰ Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday (occasional weekend work may be required) About the Role We’re recruiting a System Support Engineer to join the Digital IT Services and Systems Department within the NHS. You’ll work as part of a dedicated team responsible for supporting and maintaining hardware, core systems, web services, applications, operating systems, and networking across multiple NHS sites. You’ll play a key role in monitoring incidents, ensuring timely resolution of issues, and proactively identifying opportunities for service and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for a wide range of systems, applications, and hardware. Monitor and manage incidents, ensuring efficient and effective resolution. Support and mentor 1st Line Service Desk team members through knowledge sharing and skill transfer. Deploy, configure, and maintain IT equipment including laptops and desktops. Recommend system and service improvements to enhance overall performance. Ideal Candidate Previous experience in an IT Support / System Support / Technical Support role. Confident troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, and network-related issues. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
