We put care into CAREr! Our team at Brookstreet Social Care are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support worker to join our team in providing high-quality care and support across a variety of our services in the Northeast, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
Salary dependant on location and service. We have many different services ranging from supporting Adults and children from many different backgrounds and walks of life, including:
* Homelessness
* Drug and alcohol abuse
* Education
* Learning difficulties
* Autism
Responsibilities
Care and Support: Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support, ensuring physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and leisure activities.
Safeguarding and Safety: Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures to protect the welfare of all service users.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation, including care plans, incident reports, and daily logs. Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure coordinated and consistent care.
Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development, attending relevant training and keeping up to date with best practices in childcare and support. Brookstreet Social Care are also able to provide specialised on-going training with our internal training specialist team.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* DBS on the update service for Adults and or Children
* Experience working with service users in a residential or respite care setting.
* Understanding the needs of service users with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
* Excellent communication and people skills.
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
* Driving licence
