Interpreter and Translator – Goole
A freelance interpreter and translator is needed to work within NHS, local authorities, police, probation and other public and private organisations in Goole. The role is self‑employed and covers face‑to‑face, telephone, video and written translation work.
Job Responsibilities
* Interpret for individuals using legal, health and local government services.
* Confirm understanding for non‑English speakers after each sentence.
* Provide conference, consecutive and public‑service interpreting.
* Handle highly confidential information.
* Liaise between service users and providers.
Requirements
* Fluent in English and at least one other language.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Minimum age 21.
* Preferable qualifications: Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration, degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages or any other relevant qualification.
