We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Painting & Decorating Lecturer (P&D) to join our Construction department. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering teaching and learning to our P&D students across levels 1 – 2.
Working closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager, and the rest of the Construction team, you will share your P&D industry knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level and drive continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor and course leader for Level 2 students, promote attendance, participate in team meetings, and contribute to the planning, development, and review activities within your subject area. You will also teach apprentices in-house and be required to assess students' work.
The successful candidate must:
* Hold a full teaching qualification (such as a PGCE, DTTLS, or Cert ED)
* Be qualified to teach up to Level 3 in Painting and Decorating
* Have teaching experience (ideally within FE teaching Level 1 to Level 3)
* Have industry experience
* Have experience delivering Apprenticeships
A certificate/award in Assessing and Internal Quality Assurance is also desirable but not essential.
