About the Role
As a Roofer, you’ll be responsible for:
To undertake all roofing work associated with the maintenance and refurbishment of Housing Executive stock / buildings, including and not limited to:
1. Removing old roof coverings and replacing them with all styles of roof
2. Repairing and replacing lead work to roofs
3. Renewing or rebedding hip and roof tiles
4. Renewing or rebedding chimney pots
5. Repairing mineral felt and asphalt flat roof covering
6. Correctly replacing slates or tiles in isolated patches
7. Surveying and correctly identifying faults in pitched and flat roofs
8. Replacing/repairing/cleaning guttering and fascia as necessary
9. Carrying out repairs and maintenance on a variety of roof types (pitched, flat, tiled, slate, felt)
10. Responding to emergency call-outs for roof leaks and storm damage
11. Installing new roofing materials andponents as part of planned works
12. Ensuring all work meets health & safety and building regulation standards
13. Working across public buildings such as schools, libraries, offices, andmunity centres
What We’re Looking For
14. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Roofing Occupations (or relevant experience)
15. Proven track record in roof maintenance and repair
16. Ability to work at height and use access equipment safely
17. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
18. Full UK driving licence (vehicle provided for work use)
19. CSR card desirable
20. Basic Access NI
