Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - Responsible to the Estate Customer Services Manager for assisting with the execution of all minor works and mechanical and electrical maintenance programmes for the Campus. The Maintenance Coordinator (Mechanical and Electrical) is responsible for leading and supervising the operation of the Mechanical and Electrical Direct Works Unit (DWU) and External Contractors. - ABOUT YOU - You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a mechanical, electrical or building engineering related discipline, or educated to HNC level or equivalent in a mechanical, electrical or building engineering related discipline, plus you will hold a professional trade qualification in a mechanical, electrical or building engineering related discipline, plus significant relevant experience in the maintenance, service and repair of electrical and mechanical systems. You will have: - Experience of supervising a multi-disciplinary workforce including external contractors. - Experience of managing minor maintenance works. - Experience of budget monitoring or management. - Relevant experience, including the identification and remedying of faults and defects in building installations of large scale.
