I am currently working with a well known national brand who are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a large multi-skilled team of engineers and who is motivational and driven to help them achieve total success through strong leadership, mentoring and development
Reporting to the National Management they are looking for an experienced person with experience from industrial or heavy engineering industries to take on the Engineering Managers role, someone who has a hands on approach to management, who has strong technical abilities, backed up by robust leadership skills who can lead and develop a team of engineers with a varying level of experience
What you will be doing:
* Responsibility for managing, leading and developing a multiskilled team of engineers
* Oversee the planning and completion all engineering activities across the site
* Develop a culture of proactive maintenance rather than reactive maintenance
* Implement, monitor, deliver and record performance indicators across the department
* Use data to identify failures, implement processes and improvements (Root Cause Analysis)
* Oversee all PPMs, reactive works and planned shutdowns to ensure all are completed
* Promote a Health and Safety Culture
Skills Experience
* Be qualified in Electrical/Mechanical discipline to a good level (HNC or equivalent)
* A proven track record in Engineering leadership in a fast paced industrial, processing or heavy industry manufacturing environment
* Be an Engineer in every sense of the word, being able to utilise experience gained and to be a problem solver and mentor
* Be an approachable leader who can deliver performance from a large engineering team
* Be a champion for continuous improvement with process and equipment
* Be analytical and can use data to plan and implement engineering strategies
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Health and Safety Qualifications (Ideal)
