Eligibility
Cpl/LH and below ranks who have a service gap of no more than six years.
* Applicants whose circumstances fall slightly outside the above criteria may obtain a waiver subject to approval and interview.
* Previous service records will be checked; final authorisation is required from the Army Personnel Centre.
* Any serving regular or reserve personnel wishing to transfer to the MPGS from any tri‑service must email ArmyPM-MPGS-Recruitment@mod.gov.uk to discuss the transfer process.

Job Details
* Job type: Full‑time, permanent.
* Schedule: 12‑hour shifts on a structured 4 on / 4 off system.
* Experience required: Minimum 3 years in UK Military service.
* Location: Choose the site that is vacant and best suits your preferences.
Responsibilities
* Security incident management – handling suspicious packages, bomb threats, protests, and other incidents.
* Patrolling site perimeters to ensure security.
* Controlling entry and exit – managing control room and gate operations and efficiently handling visitors.
* Providing Military Working Dog services at selected sites.
* Serving at one of over 120 sites across the UK mainland.
Requirements
* Background: Minimum 3 years prior military service or currently serving in any arm of the British Military, regular or reserves.
* Age: Over 18 and under 57 at re‑enlistment.
* Fitness: Medically fit with a Body Mass Index below 32.
* Driving licence: Full UK driving licence with fewer than 8 penalty points.
