Reporting into the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile working role, with up to 50% UK-wide travel.
What you’ll do:
* Provide specialist direction and advice to EHS teams and project leads for environment and sustainability to meet requirements.
* Support risk management through environmental assurance regimes, audits, and inspections.
* Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
* Support data collation and reporting on carbon management for contracts and customer requirements.
* Review environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks, for the business.
* Help embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycle stages.
Who you are:
You will have experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within relevant industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum Qualification - PIEMA
* ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
* Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice
* Experience reducing environmental impacts of equipment and infrastructure
* Experience managing complex projects
* Full driving license and willingness to travel UK-wide
