Main Purpose of Maintenance Engineer
Join us on this mission as a Maintenance Engineer within the friendly and supportive Machine Shop Department, based in Buckinghamshire.
The purpose of the role is to carry out maintenance and repair of all CNC machines and equipment within the Machine Shop, ensuring minimal downtime and that production targets are met.
Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer
Follow Total Preventative Maintenance schedules for all machines and equipment.
Replace worn parts and wiring in accordance with machine manuals and manufacturer specifications.
Diagnose and repair CNC machines and equipment, coordinating with external suppliers as necessary.
Transport materials, parts, and components using a forklift truck and lifting equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organisation to ensure operational efficiency.
Experience / Knowledge for the Maintenance Engineer
Certified IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Forklift Licence essential.
Proficient in using hand tools and electrical testers.
Previous experience maintaining CNC machine tools including 5 & 4 axis machining centres and CNC turning machines.
Manual dexterity and strong mechanical aptitude.
Minimum GCSE Grade Pass in Maths and English (or equivalent).
A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
