About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable, state-of-the-art private eye clinic in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their thriving theatre team permanently. The clinic is high performing and expanding, and within this role, you will be exposed to a wide range of specialties. The service practices some of the most advanced treatments, offering a range of surgical procedures in ophthalmology. This is a great opportunity to expand your skills in assisting patients undergoing procedures including cataract surgery in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities
* Work in a fast-paced and high-volume clinical setting
* Prepare patients for surgery
* Guide patients through their journey and reassure them throughout
* Care for patients post-surgery, recovering from sedation
* Review patient charts and confirm data accuracy
* Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery
* Follow surgeons’ directions and pass medical equipment
* Medicine management and audits
Who we’re looking for
* Be NMC / HCPC registered with no restrictions or conditions on your pin
* Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
* At least 1 year of experience working in UK theatres
* Ophthalmic / optometry / ophthalmology experience is highly desirable
* Interest in development and progression; this role offers the opportunity to complete the surgical assist course
