Our client, a well established business within the electronics/power supply sector, is looking for a Lead Generation co-ordinator to join their team in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving our sales pipeline forward by identifying and pursuing new client prospects. Working closely with the sales and marketing teams, you will use your research skills and industry insight to create opportunities that expand our market reach. This position suits a motivated individual with a proven track record in lead generation and business development, looking to make a tangible impact within a dynamic company.

Key responsibilities
5. Identify new business opportunities through market research and lead generation activities
6. Develop and qualify sales leads via various outreach methods, including calls and industry events
7. Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions
8. Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted promotional materials and campaigns
9. Maintain accurate CRM records, tracking sales pipelines and lead activity
10. Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations
11. Attend industry exhibitions and site visits to uncover new opportunities
12. Monitor market trends and industry developments to inform sales strategy
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Essential
13. Proven experience in business development, lead generation, or sales within electronics or power supply industries (3-5+ years)
14. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
15. Ability to work independently, think creatively, and develop strategic sales plans
16. Full driving license and willing to travel for client meetings and industry events
17. Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools

18. Degree in electrical engineering or a related field
19. Experience creating and executing sales strategies
20. Track record of securing large orders (£250k in first year as an example)
