GCSE English & Maths Outreach Tutor (SEN/SEMH) ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Prospero Teaching is seeking a GCSE English and Maths Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people in Barking and Dagenham who are currently not attending mainstream education. As an Outreach Tutor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored GCSE English and Maths lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' learning, improve confidence, and raise engagement and attainment. Many of the young people you will work with have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is ideal for a qualified or experienced tutor or teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom and provide personalised, flexible learning in a more nurturing environment. Pupils may have been out of education for a significant period, meaning confidence and motivation can be low. Your role will be key in re-engaging them with learning and reintroducing routine and structure into their day.
