Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in their own homes. Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Providing patient care and companionship to enhance emotional well-being.
* Supporting individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia care and cancer, ensuring their safety and comfort.
* Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients for any changes in condition.
* Preparing meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
* Assisting with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
* Implementing behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs.
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
* Documenting care provided and reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience in elderly care, or hospice care is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with nursing home environments is an advantage.
* Experience in caregiving or home care settings is beneficial.
* Knowledge of first aid practices is preferred.
* A valid driving licence may be required for roles involving the transportation of clients.
