Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brilliant team to support the continued growth of an established family-owned business in Leeds.
The Role:
Focussing mainly on new transformer and package substation installation on site including fitting, wiring and test of bothdistribution and power transformers. Role also includes some warranty investigation and rectification work on site and more routine equipment maintenance tasks.
Key areas include:
1. Based on site with some occasional in-house pre fitting and assembly of various types of distribution and power transformers and associated packages.
2. You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, pre assembly images & parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
3. You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
4. You will be required to travel to third party sites both in the UK and Europe to build up the equipment and test.
5. You will ensure that all equipment is assembled and tested to the highest standard.
6. Use of initiative in an environment with changing priorities whilst always focussing on completing a task safely.
7. You will read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings.
