Salary: £45,943 per annum Closing Date: 16 February 2026 The Role We are looking for a suitably qualified dentist for the post of Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry. You will be required to become actively involved in the teaching and research programmes of the School. In research, you will be expected to contribute to existing research activity in one of our current research themes (translational oral biosciences, applied oral health care or dental education), developing towards independence as a researcher. In teaching, you will be expected to contribute to academic and clinical teaching on our undergraduate clinical BDS and BSc courses and our developing portfolio of postgraduate courses. In addition, appropriately qualified candidates will have the opportunity to undertake clinical work in the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation trust. Appropriately qualified candidates will be expected to complete an approved specialty training programme in periodontics or prosthodontics gaining a CCST in one of those specialties. The post has approval for specialist training by the Postgraduate Dean. The successful candidate will be expected to apply for and benchmark via NHS Specialty Training National Recruitment at the appropriate time.
