Job overview MEMS provide a comprehensive service to the Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to develop and support its Medical Device Management Policy. This includes managing medical equipment throughout the duration of its lifecycle, medical equipment training, medical engineering, and operating the Medical Equipment Library. We are a department of close to 30 staff including engineers, scientists and administrators, and support over 20,000 medical devices. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, individual to join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers at the Princess Royal University Hospital site. You will need to be a team player who is eager to learn, as well as being able to work alone. Knowledge and/or experience of medical equipment and medical equipment management is essential. Main duties of the job The post holderu2019s main duties will be the provision of a broad range of support services on behalf of Medical Equipment Management Services to clinical staff within the Trust. This will include playing an active role in medical device integration (MDI) and connectivity. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting medical devices and connectivity related issues across all sites of Kingu2019s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust; and may be required to take part in the out of hours rota and weekend working.
