Salary: £120 - £160 Pre – AWR (Salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (QToD) to join our supportive and inclusive team. You will play a vital role in improving educational outcomes for children and young people with hearing impairments, working across a range of settings including mainstream schools, specialist provisions, and homes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality, tailored teaching to deaf and hearing-impaired students.
2. Provide specialist advice and support to school staff, families, and other professionals.
3. Contribute to the development of inclusive learning environments.
4. Assess pupils’ needs and progress using a range of communication methods, including British Sign Language (BSL), speech, and auditory-verbal techniques.
5. Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to support the holistic development of each child.
What We’re Looking For:
6. Mandatory: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and additional mandatory qualification in teaching deaf children (or currently working towards it).
7. Experience working with deaf children and young people in educational settings.
8. Strong communication skills, including the ability to use (or willingness to develop) BSL.
9. A flexible, empathetic, and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
