Job Description
As a Software Developer, you will utilise your knowledge of both backend and frontend systems to develop high quality, scalable and innovative cloud-based applications.
The Business Systems Solutions department leverages innovative technologies to deliver both bespoke and third-party solutions that support our Business operations. You will join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, where technical expertise is valued and career progression is supported.
Working as a full stack developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust Business systems and applications. You will be responsible for writing high-quality code that meets requirements, supporting and upgrading existing applications, and ensuring comprehensive documentation is maintained.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain robust Business systems and applications (full stack).
* Write high-quality code that meets requirements and supports upgrades to existing applications.
* Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained.
* Collaborate within a forward-thinking team and contribute to technical excellence.
* Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
* Analysing requirements, investigating live system issues, and contributing to solutions.
* Perform quality assurance reviews and support product owners and testing teams.
* Manage multiple projects and deadlines with proactive updates to management.
* Continuously develop your technical knowledge and share best practices.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a full stack developer or relevant technical experience.
* Proficient in .Net, React, SQL, and Python.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret requirements, investigate issues, and deliver effective solutions.
* Demonstrated experience developing scalable, high-quality applications.
* Committed to clean coding practices, continuous improvement, and quality assurance.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information at all levels.
* Collaborative team player with a positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, whilst remaining focused and professional under pressure.
* Awareness of current trends, ethical considerations, and the benefits and challenges of AI and automation in software engineering.
* Experience developing with Python and integrating AI tools or techniques into software development would be desirable.
