ROLE: Flexographic Printer LOCATION: Kilmarnock HOURS: Full-time, Continental shift pattern – 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (days and nights) PAY: Up to £40,000 per annum CONTRACT: Permanent An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled Flexographic Printer to join a well-established manufacturing site in Kilmarnock. BENEFITS: * Competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum * Permanent, full-time opportunity with long-term prospects * Modern production environment with high standards of safety and quality * Ongoing training and professional development * Supportive and collaborative team culture THE ROLE: * Operate and manage flexographic printing machines, including a 10-colour narrow web servo-driven flexographic press * Prepare presses for printing and troubleshoot issues during production * Monitor printing processes to maintain optimal operating levels, adjusting as necessary * Manage inks and solvents in line with material type and work order specifications * Ensure all printing tasks meet high quality standards and maintain consistency throughout shifts * Operate at production speeds and within set targets, recording and reporting any deviations * Continuously work towards improvements in production methods to reduce downtime and potential quality issues * Liaise with the Production Manager to maximise machine utilisation, reduce waste, and meet delivery deadlines * Follow Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures, maintaining accurate production records * Promote and maintain safe working systems to ensure efficient and injury-free operations * Work collaboratively within the Print Department, supporting colleagues and sharing information THE REQUIREMENTS: * Proven experience in Flexographic Printing is essential * Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail * Ability to operate, or quickly learn to operate, flexographic printing machinery and related software * Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team * Experience meeting SEDEX and ETI requirements (advantageous but not essential) * Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety Please note that we reserve the right to close the vacancy prior to the application deadline/closing date once a sufficient number of applications have been received.
