Learning Support Assistant
Secondary schools across East Sussex are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their teams on either a full or part-time basis. They seek empathetic, driven individuals who are passionate about working with young people.
Here at Protocol, we have an exciting opportunity with a big academy trust! This trust includes 5 schools within the East Sussex area. We need SEN TAs, teachers, and support staff — everything!
The role involves working on a 1:1 or small group basis with children aged 11-16 to support their engagement with learning. You may support children with Special Educational Needs/Disabilities (SEND) or Social Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH).
Experience in an education setting is beneficial but not essential. Successful candidates have backgrounds in youth work, care/hospital experience, art/creative fields, psychology/sociology graduates, among others. No formal teaching or support qualifications are required, but comfort in supporting students' learning is essential.
Hours: Mon to Friday (part-time options available)
