* Mon–Thu 10:30–21:00 (40 hrs/week)

About The Role
Reporting to the Saw Team Leader, the Saw Operator is responsible for the production of saw cut parts by loading and unloading various saw machines; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records as appropriate and assisting in the maintenance of equipment. The operator will ensure continuity of production in the saw room, maintaining required specifications within agreed timeframes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Preparing and operating the circular, manual and automatic band saws to perform manufacturing tasks
* Preparing and loading raw materials into the saw machines
* Completing raw material paperwork and checklists
* Inspecting and measuring finished products and comparing them with technical and quality requirements; deburring, shuffling, and cleaning of finished parts as necessary; adhering to schedules and timelines
* Ensuring all machines remain well stocked with continuity of production (in consultation with the Production Manager and Saw Team Leader)
* Strictly adhering to all health and safety procedures
* Demonstrating a strong team approach with clear communication
* Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Ensuring all completed parts conform to specifications and quality deliverables
* Keeping each machine process compliant with company guidelines
* Maintaining shift continuity by communicating actions and needs
* Maintaining equipment with preventative maintenance; following manufacturers’ instructions; troubleshooting machines
* Daily cleaning and maintenance of saws
* Supporting efficient operation of the saw area to achieve targets
* Participating in daily production meetings to discuss targets and quality concerns
* Undertaking other duties as required by management
About You
* Must be a team player with the ability to work well with others
* Safety-conscious mindset
* Previous experience in saw operation is desirable but not necessary
* Passion for manufacturing
* Must have or be willing to obtain a Forklift Truck license (refresher training provided on site)
* Willingness to take on additional training as required
