Duties
* Assist in food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and standards
* Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and measuring
* Support the food production process by assembling dishes and plating meals
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety regulations
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances
* Follow hygiene protocols to ensure food safety and prevent contamination
* Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks effectively
* Assist with baking activities as required, ensuring quality standards are met
* Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure continuous workflow
* Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
* Knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous
* Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is desirable
* Experience in baking or culinary arts can be beneficial but is not mandatory
* Candidates with restaurant experience or a background in hospitality are encouraged to apply
