Overview
Salisbury, UK — Happy Days Nursery are seeking fun, enthusiastic and passionate practitioners to join our Flexible Supply Team. Salary: up to £13.11 dependent on qualifications.
What Will You Be Doing
As a member of our supply team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early experiences of children in our care. You will be responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment that fosters children’s development from birth to 5 years. If you’re a qualified practitioner or have previous experience in early years, your passion for childcare, creativity, and dedication will make you an essential part of our team.
A pivotal part of the role will be your ability to plan and implement exciting learning opportunities for children, ensuring their interests and developmental stages are catered to, while also maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care.
Happy Days fosters a real team ethos; you will have the opportunity to work within a thriving busy team environment, collaborating to maintain a clean, safe and organised nursery which has the children and families’ best interests at heart. Our families are central to everything we do, so you will communicate effectively with families when necessary, building professional relationships and keeping them informed about their child’s progress and wellbeing.
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal supply staff will have a genuine passion for making a difference in the sector, with experience in a nursery or other relevant education/early years environment being essential. Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and how to implement it effectively (or a willingness to complete training to upskill) will be advantageous, along with the ability to plan meaningful and educational activities. Safeguarding children is of the utmost importance; you will show a strong commitment to wellbeing and safeguarding of all children in your care and take steps to ensure this is upheld consistently. Experience in forming positive, professional relationships by communicating effectively with children, parents and families is essential. While experience in a nursery setting and a Level 2 or 3 qualification is advantageous, all candidates with experience working with children will be considered.
The successful post holder will be required to undergo a robust vetting process, including an enhanced DBS Check and Reference History Checks.
