Location: Tyneside and Northumberland, Hybrid Working Hours: 18 per week (Flexible hours including evenings and weekends) Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £25,000 (FTE) We're recruiting a Fundraising Co-ordinator, who will join our Community, Corporate and Events Fundraising team and play an essential role by supporting the delivery of fundraising activity, creating a rewarding experience for our supporters, and ensuring they are at the heart of everything we do. You will play a pivotal role in our work by nurturing supporter relationships, re-engaging former donors, and investigating new opportunities for sponsorships, individual fundraising and one-off donations. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager you will aid the project management of fundraising activities, analyse and produce evaluation reports against budget, and interpret results, along with market research, to inform our future strategy for income growth and enhance our reputation within the community. Key Responsibilities As a key member of our team, you will: Strategic Development and Implementation: · Develop and implement strategies to increase unrestricted income for the · charity through sponsorship and fundraising initiatives. · Grow our network of donors with targeted efforts to re-engage former supporters and capture potential contributors. · Develop and nurture partnerships with local businesses to elevate corporate giving and source sponsorship opportunities. · Promote legacy giving by building relationships with supporters and sharing its long-term impact. Community and Volunteer Engagement: · Work collaboratively with the Community, Corporate, and Events Fundraising team, wider staff team, trustees, and volunteers. · Offer ongoing support to local fundraisers, including welcome calls, communications, follow-ups, and personalised thank-you notes. · Support fundraising and awareness-raising volunteers by providing onboarding, supervision, and guidance at events and within the office, to ensure they have an enriching, enjoyable volunteering experience. · Assist in organising, facilitating, and publicising fundraising events and activities. · Support corporate fundraising events and liaise with local event providers and National Mind. Awareness, Outreach and Advocacy: · Raise awareness and promote Tyneside and Northumberland Mind services · through targeted outreach to stakeholders, communities, and corporations. · Effectively engage in public speaking, delivering presentations on the charity's work, and raising mental health awareness. · Contribute to the organisation’s media strategy and collaborate with the Marketing team to raise the charity’s profile within the local community. · Encourage lasting supporter engagement with the sharing of inspiring supporter stories across media and digital channels. Operational and Reporting Excellence: · Prepare clear and concise reports for the Board of Trustees, CEO, and Senior Management Team. · Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and manage invoices to ensure fundraising activities remain within budget. · Maintain high standards of data capture, ensuring data is accurate and managed in a timely manner. · Plan and prioritize your workload effectively to meet both short-term and long-term deadlines. · Undertake duties compatible with the nature and grade of the post. Person Specification Essential Experience and Skills: · Proven track record of charitable fundraising and event organising, particularly for the purpose of fundraising. · Experience managing volunteers to undertake fundraising activities and exceed targets. · Strong project management skills, including multitasking and meeting deadlines. · Experience analysing data for strategic decision making, and maximum efficiency and effective campaign planning. · Knowledge of legal and safety requirements for fundraising activities. Communication and Representation: · Possess strong verbal communication skills and communicate effectively with our supporters across a range of channels including mail, e-mail, telephone, face-to-face, and online. · Confident public speaking, promoting the organisation and its services to various stakeholders via presentations. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills building authentic and effective relationships with the local community, corporates, and team members. · A strong influencer who can encourage participants to exceed fundraising targets. · Confident representing the charity with various audiences, including the private sector, local communities, clients, and Mind supporters. Technical Competence: · Competent in the use of IT equipment, with experience and willingness to learn a variety of platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM, data collection, ticketing, mass mailing, social media). · Experience with databases, digital platforms, and financial systems relevant to the role. · Ability to adapt to and use new technologies to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Practical Requirements: · Comfortable working as a team and under your own initiative. · Willing to work across various locations, e.g. home, office, and external venues. · Prepared to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends, with TOIL given during busy periods. · Has a full driving license and access to your own transport. · Prepared to move and transport equipment and resources for events when necessary. Expenses Out of pocket expenses will be payable at rates set out in Tyneside and Northumberland Mind's expenses policy. Holidays On joining you will receive 24 days annual leave, excluding bank holidays. Thereafter, the holiday entitlement increases depending on length of service.
