Assistant Manager - Space Station Self Storage
Location: Stafford | Salary: £31,600 | Type: Full-time (5 days out of 7, with some weekend and bank holidays)
The role: Our managers play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the store and providing customers with the Space Station service. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager and take on responsibilities in their absence, while owning other crucial aspects of the store and staff. The role is based in Stafford and commences on 18 November 2025, with a significant bonus for on-target performance.

What you’ll do
Sales and Customer Service
* Convert sales and help customers make informed decisions
* Achieve sales targets by maximising sales opportunities
* Provide stellar customer service, resolve complaints and address concerns, always keeping our values in mind
Supervise and Train Employees
* Organise rotas, give sales training, delegate tasks and help with employee performance management
* Motivate staff, give praise when things go well and help them improve in the areas they need to
* Help others achieve their goals through leadership, giving encouragement and advice on meeting budgets and getting results
Assume Responsibility in the Store Manager's Absence
* Develop and grow the store alongside the manager, achieving revenue and growth targets
* Take full responsibility for the site when the manager is away, completing reports for the manager upon their return
* Demonstrate an active approach to achieve joint goals faster with urgency
Administration
* Ensure effective administration of the store so that company systems, policies and procedures are adhered to
* Create and implement effective marketing plans, and monitor and review results regularly
* Promote the store in the local community by networking with local shops and businesses
Maintenance and Brand Promotion
* Maintain high standards and keep the site safe and healthy for staff and customers
* Keep company systems, policies and procedures running smoothly; assist with marketing plans to promote the store and build brand awareness
* Promote the store in the local community by networking with local shops and businesses
