Quest Search & Selection is hiring a Purchasing Lead- Private-Label Food range by securing optimal buying prices and product sourcing across all designated own-label categories,
The role also focuses on strengthening supplier understanding and engagement & to unlock improvements in cost of goods, whilst delivering NPD opportunities in collaboration with the Buying team.

Role & Responsibilities of this Purchasing Lead- Private-Label food role -
* Line management responsibility for small team of 3people
* Delivery and management of agreed budgets with full P&L accountability for core buying areas.
* Management of cost of goods and product turnover across controlled ranges.
* Development and delivery of sourcing strategies aligned to the brand range blueprint.
* Management of existing and new products, suppliers, and supply chains.
* Leadership of cost price negotiations and timely implementation of price changes with clear stakeholder communication.
* Proactive performance management, coaching, and development of the team, with a focus on stretch targets and talent progression.
Skills required for this Purchasing Lead- Private-Label food role -
* Minimum 7 years’ buying/purchasing/procurement experience + in a FMCG, retail or wholesale environment
* You must have experience at a manager, senior or head of level where you are leading a small team.
* Experience across multi categories Within food or FMCG would be highly desirable
* Proven ownership of cost of goods & P&L responsibilities.
* Proven negotiation skills using a range of tactics and styles
* Practical experience across production and supply chain operations
