Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Records Data Quality & Scanning Officer to support the Patient Records service. The role involves organising the day‑to‑day operations of the DHR and paper records, ensuring high quality, efficient and effective service that supports patient care, investigation and merging duplicate registrations, and preparing paper records for scanning.
Welsh language skills are desirable, though both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged to apply.
Main Duties
* Work flexible hours on a planned basis to support staff during non‑core hours.
* Ensure policies and procedures are followed in compliance with Information Governance (IG) and the Patient Records Management Procedure.
* Meet set objectives to provide a high quality, efficient and effective service, aligning with departmental core values and behaviours.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Criteria
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience.
* Ability to use own initiative, organise workloads and delegate duties.
* Knowledge of principles of confidentiality.
* Experience of working with Microsoft packages.
* Experience of leading and negotiating a team.
* Self‑motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic professional.
* Ability to relate to staff of all disciplines and seniority, building credibility with a range of professionals.
* Discreet and confident, with a professional presentation and behaviour.
* Flexibility to work the hours required by the post.
Desirable Criteria
* Evidence of continual professional development.
* Knowledge of NHS Records Management legislation.
* NHS experience.
