Job Summary
We’re working with a well-established national membership organisation looking for an experienced Events Specialist to take sole ownership of their UK-wide events programme.
This is a hands-on, creative role where you’ll plan, organise, and deliver a variety of events – from small member meetups to large-scale exhibitions and shows.

About the role
Duties:
Event planning & delivery
6. Own and deliver a full UK-wide events calendar
7. Plan and run both internal events and external exhibitions
8. Create engaging experiences for members (from meetups to multi-day events)
Logistics & operations
9. Manage event setup, transport, equipment, and storage
10. Handle stock, merchandise, and on-site sales
11. Ensure smooth delivery from planning through to breakdown
Marketing & communication
12. Support promotion of events across web, email, and social media
13. Keep event listings and content up to date
14. Respond to enquiries and engage with members online
Stakeholder & team coordination
15. Work with internal teams, partners, and sponsors
16. Support regional groups with their local events
17. Recruit, lead, and coordinate volunteer teams
Commercial & admin
18. Manage budgets and track event performance
19. Oversee ticketing and booking systems
20. Produce post-event reports and insights
Compliance & standards
21. Ensure all events meet health & safety and legal requirements
22. Maintain equipment records and safe working practices
About you
Experience
23. Minimum 3 years’ experience in event management
24. Strong organisational and project management skills
25. Confident communicator (written and verbal)
26. Comfortable managing multiple events and deadlines
27. Hands-on approach (including physical setup at events)
28. Good IT skills (CRM systems, ticketing platforms, CMS)
29. Experience with social media or event promotion is a bonus
Requirements
30. Full UK driving licence
31. Willingness to travel across the UK
32. Flexible to attend events on some weekends
33. Physically fit due to loading of exhibition equipment
