Job Description Sendsory Location: Hillside, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 2BD Salary: £23,250 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8.00 am - 4.00 pm), Term time only Contract: Fixed Term for 10 Months Reference: 0432 As a Therapeutic Practitioner at Sendsory, you will support children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to regulate their emotions, develop communication and social skills, and engage positively with learning. Your role will involve delivering our Therapeutic Curriculum, working closely with a small, dedicated team, and providing personalised, hands-on support to help each child thrive in a nurturing and structured environment. Your Responsibilities Deliver engaging, child-centred sessions using the GROW curriculum under the direction of the Therapeutic Lead. Support children during breakfast and lunch times, encouraging independence and social interaction. Implement EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) outcomes within sessions for each individual child under the direction of the Therapeutic Lead. Provide personal care for children as required, always maintaining dignity and respect. Set up and tidy up the therapeutic space before and after each session, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and calming environment. Implement outcomes for AQA Unit Award Scheme Certificates under the direction of the Therapeutic Lead. What You Will Need Minimum of 5 year's experience working with children with complex SEND including Trauma. Experience delivering a tailored curriculum in a therapeutic or alternative setting. Strong understanding of Trauma Informed Practice. Familiarity with Makaton, PECS, or Talk Pads.
