Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant HR Business Partner to join the people services team. This role plays a key part in supporting managers across the service with a wide range of people matters. Working closely with HR Business Partners, you will provide practical HR advice, support complex employee relations cases and help ensure our policies and procedures are applied consistently and fairly.
Responsibilities
You will work with Managers to address attendance and performance issues, support recruitment and workforce planning, contribute to organisational change initiatives and use workforce data and insight to help inform decision making. The role also involves providing guidance and support to Managers to build their confidence and capability in people management.
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires travel to stations and departments across the central and East locations. It is essential that this person has their own vehicle and is willing to travel.
Qualifications
* Has experience providing HR advice to Managers
* Is confident in supporting employee relations cases
* Has the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively
* Is organised, proactive and able to manage a heavy and varied workload
* Is committed to fairness, consistency and good people management
