Location: UK-wide coverage with flexibility on location and working structure. Initial onboarding will take place in Manchester. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available for the right candidates.

Your Role: Driving Commercial Growth at Scale
You’ll take ownership of deal origination, pricing, and structuring across UrbanChain’s expanding UK client base. From large corporates to renewable asset owners, you’ll build strategic relationships and shape our go-to-market approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead origination of structured energy deals with I&C consumers, generators, brokers, and TPIs
Negotiate complex agreements across power markets (PPAs, CPAs, flexibility, certificates)
Deliver on gross margin, portfolio value and revenue targets, supporting P&L growth
Build localised energy systems using UrbanChain’s proprietary trading platform
Develop strategic partnerships to expand our reach and accelerate the energy transition
Collaborate across departments (optimisation, risk, legal, finance, ops) to deliver competitive, risk-managed offerings
Represent UrbanChain at industry events, roundtables, and thought leadership forums
Mentor future hires and help shape the commercial function as we scale
What You Bring
~3–5+ years of experience in energy origination, trading, or B2B supply (power/gas markets)
~ Proven record of commercial success, relationship growth, and deal closure
~ Deep understanding of energy markets, PPAs, REGO/GoO, and net-zero strategies
~ Exposure to working with TPIs, agents, brokers, or large energy consumers
~ Commercially strategic, analytically sharp, and passionate about clean energy
~ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders
~ Degree in a relevant field (Economics, Engineering, Energy, Finance, etc.)
~ Technical acumen – Excel essential, data analytics or coding skills (SQL/Python) a bonus
~ Languages such as French, German, Dutch or Spanish are a plus
