Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and organised Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-volume on-street EV charging infrastructure rollout across the Surrey region. This is a contract-specific role focused purely on the delivery phase of the project. You will be responsible for managing a complex web of subcontractors partner ICP installers and multiple stakeholders to ensure installations are completed on time to budget and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Delivery Oversight for a high-volume programme of on-street EV charger installations throughout Surrey.
* Act as the main point of contact for all project stakeholders including local authorities ICP partners and internal teams.
* Coordinate and manage multiple subcontractors and delivery partners across concurrent installation sites.
* Ensure all works adhere to strict Health & Safety protocols local authority regulations and technical specifications.
* Lead progress meetings issue daily / weekly progress updates and manage project reporting for internal and client use.
* Resolve on-site and logistical challenges quickly to avoid delays and cost overruns.
* Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and quality standards.
* Manage site documentation including RAMS permits and sign-offs.
* Work closely with the wider Delivery and Commercial teams to monitor budgets resource allocations and project KPIs.
What were looking for :
Essential
* Proven track record of managing infrastructure projects ideally within the EV Charging or utilities sector.
* Strong understanding of street works civils and electrical infrastructure installations.
* Experience working with ICP (Independent Connection Provider) partners and utility companies.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent sites and a complex contractor network.
* Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations HSE practices and quality assurance in construction.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the Surrey region.
Desirable
* Electrical or civils background (qualifications or experience).
* NRSWA awareness or accreditation.
* Experience delivering projects for local authorities or in high-traffic public environments.
* Familiarity with digital project management and reporting tools
