A special school in Huyton is looking for a Teaching Assistant. The main responsibilities for a Teaching Assistant are to: * Support students with their socio-emotional engagement with learning and promote independence in a safe environment. * Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for each student. * Promote the inclusion of all students, so that all have equal opportunities to feel included and to contribute to school life. * Create a supportive and relaxed working environment that makes students feel happy and secure. * Implement the positive behaviour approaches set out by the school, including Restorative Practice and Zones of Regulation. Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of ASD and Moderate Learning Difficulties in the classroom, as well as the theory underlying nurture provision.
