Job Title: Sports Teaching Assistant Location: Caerphilly, Caerphilly, Caerphilly Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £84.85 - £90.00 Per day Job Duties: Assist the sports teacher in delivering engaging and effective sports lessons Support students in developing their physical skills and understanding of sports Help maintain a safe and inclusive sports environment Provide one-on-one support to students who may require extra assistance Assist in organising sports events and tournaments Contribute to the overall well-being and development of students through sports Required Qualifications: Experience working with children or young people in a sports setting Good understanding of behaviour management techniques Patience and empathy when working with students Education: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths Additional qualifications in sports coaching or education are advantageous Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of sports and physical education principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs Preferred Qualifications: First Aid certification Safeguarding training Additional coaching qualifications Working Conditions: Work primarily within a school sports facility Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend events May involve some physical activity and outdoor sports coaching All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
