You will either be a qualified nurse or hold a clinical professional qualification within a multi-disciplinary team of nursing and MDT staff to ensure clinical excellence and outstanding care are delivery at all times.
You will lead by example and inspire those around you to provide exceptional care, operational and clinical excellence on the Ward. As part of the management team, you will work with colleagues and senior leaders to lead your team and support our CQC requirements.
You will have the opportunity to engage in Quality Improvement initiatives and contribute to the strategic development of our service.

Main duties of the job
As Clinical Team Leader (Ward Manager) on Northgate Ward, you will be fully supported by a Matron as well as the Care Group Leadership.
* Responsible for the management and leadership of a team of health professionals providing care over a 24‑hour period, promoting high performance standards.
* Provide effective leadership and management to staff, encouraging high‑quality, compassionate nursing care and compliance with performance outcomes.
* Set a clear and compelling vision, act as a visible presence, foster teamwork and a positive culture.
* Lead by example, motivate the team to provide exceptional levels of care and inspire others to go the extra mile.
* Engage in ongoing professional development, appraisal, quality improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic development of the service.

Salary and contract information
Band: 7
Salary: £47,810 to £54,710 a year gross per annum
Contract: Fixed term – 12 months

Person Specification – Experience Essential
* Able to demonstrate experience at a senior clinical level including staff management and supervision experience.
* Experience with risk assessment and ongoing management.
* Evidence of providing leadership in a mental health care environment including service development.
Qualifications – Essential
* Nursing degree or equivalent, Diploma in Specialist Wound Care or Occupational Therapy, or HCPC registration.
Qualities – Desirable
* Higher degree or postgraduate certificate in area of clinical/therapeutic practice.
* ILM certificate in management or equivalent.
Knowledge – Essential
* Knowledge of medication and the monitoring of its effects.
