Assistant Accountant, Client Reconciliation

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key part in the preparation and reconciliation of client funds, ensuring customer and company funds are reflected correctly in the accounts.
The Finance department consists of over 100 team members across all levels, working within an exciting and dynamic environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skill‑set within Finance and join an innovative and growing team.
Working within the territories team, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and assist with the preparation and reconciliation of client funds, ensuring all financial regulatory requirements are met accurately and timely.
This role will require weekend work (approximately one weekend per four) and occasional bank holidays. Weekend and bank holiday work is paid at enhanced rates.
The role is eligible for inclusion in the company’s hybrid working‑from‑home policy.
Proof of eligibility to work in the UK must be the first day of employment.
Job qualifications:
* Studying towards AAT Level 2 or relevant experience.
* Data management and analytical skills.
* Strong IT skills.

* Tenacious problem‑solving mindset.
Key responsibilities:
* Extract data from payment providers and banks to facilitate the reconciliation process.
* Import transactions using the reconciliation app, ensuring controls and processes have been followed.
* Support the reconciliation team in producing accurate and timely reconciliations of financial data, investigating all variances.
* Maintain a log of unreconciled transactions and liaise with relevant stakeholders to correct accounts, ensuring a clean reconciliation.
* Administer the reconciliation mailbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
* Gain an in‑depth knowledge and understanding of company terminology and processes.
* Complete ad‑hoc tasks as and when required.
