Responsibilities for the role of Civil and Structural Engineer include:
8. Assist with civil and structural designs, undertaking calculations and preparing other technical documents
9. Contribute to the design of foundations, structural elements, and associated civil works
10. Prepare technical drawings and models, using a range of software systems, including AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, etc.
11. Support the production of design reports, specifications, and schedules
12. Review site and survey data to inform the development of designs
13. Provide support to senior colleagues with project delivery
Required skills and experience for the role of Civil and Structural Engineer include:
14. A recognised qualification (i.e., HNC, HND, or Degree) in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
15. Experience of working in a UK-based design-based role
16. Highly proficient in the use AutoCAD 3D and 2D
17. Good working knowledge of Revit and Tekla
18. Keen understanding of UK design standards and codes
19. Technically-minded, with excellent numerical and report-writing skills, and strong attention to detail
20. Good written and verbal communication skills
21. Working knowledge of structural design principles and core civil engineering design fundamentals
22. Hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Civil and Structural Engineer include:
23. A Higher Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
24. Actively working to attain Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body
25. Some prior experience of working on industrial and commercial projects, including healthcare, factories, processing plants, etc.
