We have an exciting opportunity for a Trial Manager within the Centre for Medical Imaging (CMI). The CMI is a multidisciplinary team of researchers within the Department of Imaging and the Division of Medicine at University College London. The team includes clinicians at University College London Hospital (UCLH), scientists with honorary contracts providing access to UCLH clinical imaging facilities, professional service staff, a trials unit based within UCL and another within UCH which is patient-facing, statisticians, and technicians. Research at CMI ranges from mathematical image reconstruction, new sequence development, first-in-human, diagnostic studies, and multicentre trials, to pragmatic multi-centre trials of imaging techniques that may change clinical practice.
About the role
This office-based role will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, trial, and project management of clinical studies. You will work with team members and sites to ensure the safe and successful delivery of the study. Main duties include writing and managing documentation, setting up and assisting sites to upload images to XNAT, training site staff on study procedures, designing MACRO databases, managing data, and ensuring all regulatory and relevant requirements are met in a timely manner. The applicant should have relevant skills, abilities, and experience or the aptitude to learn these on the job.
About you
The candidate must have experience in running clinical trials and working with XNAT and MACRO. The role is office-based; the applicant needs to be flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy teamwork. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
