The Home
Bohill Care Home is a modern, purpose-built facility located just outside Coleraine Town Centre, surrounded by countryside. The home has 80 spacious single en-suite bedrooms across two floors, with maintained gardens for residents to relax outdoors. We offer specialised care across three units: Dementia Nursing, Dementia Residential, and Frail Elderly Nursing, all focused on compassionate, person-centred support. There are expansion plans underway, creating new career opportunities as the organisation grows.
The Role
The Domestic Assistant is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. The role supports the Housekeeper to maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming environment and contributes to the wellbeing and quality of life of residents.
The Domestic Assistant works closely with care teams and residents to build trusting relationships and create a comfortable, safe environment. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and tidying communal areas, with every task contributing to the value we add to residents’ lives.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met throughout the home
* Cover domestic duties as assigned
* Identify and report damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management
* Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule
* Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations
* Undertake other duties reasonably required by the Home Manager or Housekeeper
