Area of Responsibility
Services and responsibilities
* End-to-end programme management across scope, schedule, cost, risks, issues, dependencies, quality, benefits, and stakeholder communications.
* Establish and maintain integrated delivery plans, RAID logs, decision logs, and governance forums; ensure actions are owned and closed.
* Supplier / stakeholder management: coordinate delivery across internal delivery teams and third parties, ensure clear accountabilities, monitor performance against agreed outcomes, and escalate where required.
* Assurance and “health” oversight: define health indicators, run regular health checks, and provide transparent reporting with corrective actions.
* Framework adherence: ensure delivery follows the I&D delivery framework (as defined in the attached material) and recognised good industry IT and programme practices.
* Flex capacity: up to 20% of effort may be deployed to other I&D projects/programmes and/or to develop programme delivery practice standards and artefacts.
Standards, methods and quality expectations
* Integrated delivery control: maintain an integrated master plan (and where relevant sprint-level plans) with baselines, critical path/constraints, tolerances, and clear ownership of milestones and deliverables.
* RAID, decision and dependency management: maintain a single RAID and decision log; actively manage cross-supplier dependencies with explicit owners, dates and impact assessment.
* Change control: maintain transparent scope/change control (including impact on time, cost, risk and benefits) and ensure decisions are recorded and communicated.
* Assurance and health: define and monitor agreed health indicators (e.g., plan quality, delivery predictability, risk exposure, financial control, governance effectiveness) and run regular health checks with corrective actions tracked to closure.
* Benefits realisation enablement: ensure outcomes/benefits are defined, measurable, owned, and integrated into programme governance (including dependencies on business change).
* Stakeholder engagement: maintain a stakeholder map, communications plan and governance cadence that enables timely decisions and escalations, with clear escalation routes across suppliers and the business programme.
Delivery framework alignment: gates and gateways
* Governance forums / outputs: support preparation for and attendance at relevant governance forums and gateways (e.g., GRB and ADA) and ensure required stage outputs are produced to enable decisions.
* Stage gates (G0–G5): plan for, evidence and support completion of required gate outputs, including (as applicable) business case and financial approvals, service acceptance criteria, risk/assurance actions and closure evidence.
* Management control and records: maintain continual control of status, cost, resources and risk, and ensure programme records remain current and compliant in agreed portfolio tooling and repositories (or provide an agreed mapping where supplier tooling is used).
